Abubakar Kushu Foundation (AKF), a family health interventionist headed by a staff of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Rukayya Abubakar Kushu has conferred the Emir of Bauchi, Alh. Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu as its Grandpatronship. The conferment of the Grandpatronship of the Foundation on the Emir was made known by its CEO Rukayya Abubakar Kushu who was at the Emir’s Palace in company of staff of the Foundation. Kushu said the Foundation’s decision to make the Emir its grand-patron was in recognition of his dedication towards the fight against diseases and other life threatening ailments in Bauchi state and beyond. She said the Foundation focuses on providing succor to the less privileged members of the society suffering from ailments free of charge, adding that so far, it has succeeded in availing operation interventions to more than 38 people in Bauchi and Kirfi LGAs among other places. In his response, the Emir of Bauchi, Alh Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu expressed delight over his conferment as the Foundation’s Grand-patron, saying that he was happy to be associated with it in view of calibre of prominent people and medical personnel the Foundation works with. The Emir prayed to Allah to assist the Foundation and all those supporting it morally and materially.
